Telenor Pakistan to Increase Service Fee on Account Recharge by 3%

Telenor Pakistan has decided to increase the service charges on all prepaid account recharge via cards and easy-load. Telenor has announced this through print media advertisements.

These new increased service charges on Telenor account recharge will be applied from 2nd of July, 2013 and onwards.

Telenor's Message: Dear customer from 2nd July 2013, prepaid service fee on recharge would be increased by 3%. Please note that apart from service fee no other additional fee would be charged on recharge.

PTCL EXPERIA Summer Internship Program for 2013

DYL Motorcycles launched YD-125 Sports Euro 2 in Pakistan

DYL Motorcycles, the assembler and manufacturer of YAMAHA brand Motorcycles in Pakistan, has recently launched YD-125 Sports model in Pakistan.

The YD-125 is a 125-cc Sports motorcycle with Euro 2 standard. This latest motorcycle model from DYL is said to be competitor of Atlas-Honda's CG-125.

Its engine design and functionality is almost same as Honda's CG-125 model. YD-125 sports model is available in three colors Black, Blue and Red.

Warid increases the Balance Inquiry Charges - June 2013

Warid Pakistan has increased the balance inquiry charges for all of its prepaid customers. The new increased balance inquiry charges are applicable from 22 June, 2013.

I didn't understand the purpose of balance inquiry charges, it is the right of every mobile phone user to know the balance of its mobile account without any cost.

Pakistan Government to Increase the Tax on Telecom Sector from 1st July, 2013

The newly elected Pakistani Government has decided to increase the  Tax on Telecom Sector of Pakistan.

People of Pakistan are already paying a huge amount of tax and services charges on telecom services which is more than 35 percent up til now.

All of Telecom service providers are also deducting almost 6 percent of services charges from users to overcome their charges due to electricity load-shedding.

Islamabad Traffic Police organize Road Safety Painting Competition

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) and Mobilink Foundation jointly organized a painting competition at the Open Air Theater Islamabad to promote road safety awareness among College / school children.

Participating students were asked to use their imagination to visually depict simple yet critical topics related to road safety and associated hazards using the medium of art. The event attracted over twelve hundred students from across various schools / colleges of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Nawaz Sharif: Pakistan to link Gawadar with China via Railways

Nawaz Sharif has become the 27th Prime Minister of Pakistan after the Elections 2013. In his first speech in parliament of Pakistan he disclosed that in near future Pakistan will link its both seaports Karachi and Gawadar sea port with China via Railway Track.

Earlier this year Islamabad and Beijing have expressed a keen desire to implement the Gwadar-Khunjerab-Kashgar rail network. The project had been discussed during talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in his recent visit to Pakistan.
