PM Nawaz Sharif Laptop Scheme Eligibility Criteria by HEC

Eligibility Criteria for Nawaz Sharif Laptop Scheme

Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the eligibility criteria for distribution of Laptops under PM Nawaz Sharif Laptop Scheme 2014.

According to the details released by HEC students studying in public sector higher education institutes (HEIs) across the country and Azad Jammu & Kashmir are eligible.

Eligible Institutes:

All Public Sector Universities.

Eligible Students:

Following is the eligibility criteria for students to get free laptop from HEC under Nawaz Sharif national Laptop Scheme 2014.

Free EVO with PM Laptop Scheme:

Students will also get free PTCL EVO (3.1-Mbps) device with each laptop. Ptcl will offer 20% discount on monthly bills under this scheme. The package of on EVO will be 15GB per month.

Bachelor Degree Program Students


Students of 4-year Bachelors Program (morning & evening) who have secured:

60% or above marks in the last exam in annual assessment system

OR

70% or above (based on CGPA) cumulative of all previous semesters of semester system

Example:

Masters Degree Program Students


MS (18 year education), M.Phil. & PhD scholars in any public sector HEIs

Students of 1st or 2nd year Masters Degree Program (morning & evening) who have secured:

60% or above marks in the last annual exam in case of annual examination system

OR

70% or above (based on CGPA) cumulative of all previous semesters of semester system

Example:

Laptop Scheme 2014

The following will NOT be eligible for laptops
  • Students of any government degree & postgraduate colleges
  • Students enrolled in a Distance learning programme of any higher education institutes
  • Students of any private sector higher education institutes
  • Students who have received a laptop under any Federal or Provincial Government scheme
  • Foreign nationals, except students from AJK and Indian Occupied Kashmir
  • Any other students not listed above and / or as identified and decided by the Steering Committee
