Registration section of PMDC upgraded
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has put in place a high-tech and secure mechanism for registration of medical and dental practitioners.
The system, which became operational with the formal inauguration by Health Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin on Tuesday, is controlled by the PMDC Registration Section.
According to PMDC Registrar Dr. Nadeem Akbar, the new registration system will contribute a lot to better health safety.
He said thumb impression was needed for registration of medical and dental practitioners with the system. He said a secure registration software had been installed in the section. He also said the number of staff manning the Registration Section had been increased by 50 per cent for better efficiency.
