Ufone to impose 1% maintenance charge on every reload

Ufone is up with a news for it’s prepaid customers, that it will deduct 1 percent additional maintenance charge (in addition to already applicable maintenance charges on reloads) for those who will recharge their accounts via scratch cards and U-Load.

Back in June, 2012 cellular service providers in Pakistan had introduced this concept of maintenance fees and additional charges, the operators defend these additional charges due to their increased operational expenses.

These additional charges by Ufone will be applicable from November 15th, 2012. Here’s what a notice appearing on Ufone website read:

Dear Customers: In order to ensure quality of service, 1% additional maintenance charge will be applicable on every recharge with effect from November 15th, 2012.
