PTCL Announces Net Profit of Rs. 1.94 billion for the 2nd quarter ended 31st December 2010

Press Release: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced its financial results for the 2nd quarter from 1st October 2010 to 31st December 2010. The company announced a net profit of Rs. 1.94 billion compared to Rs. 2.78 billion recorded in the same period last year.

PTCL half yearly net profit for year 2010-11 stood at Rs. 4.02 billion compared to Rs. 5.35 billion for the preceding year.

Illegal Telecom Setup Raided in Islamabad

A 4 day Developer Workshop organized by Forum Nokia concluded on a positive note. The event instructors, Teemu Kiijarvi, Developer Relations Manager for Nokia Middle East and Africa and Tony Torp, Forum Nokia Champion Developer gave hands-on training to the participants on Java ME and Qt programming. Whereas at Karachi, the raid resulted in confiscation of one (01) GSM Gateway having approximately one hundred and twenty eight (128) connections, Switches, Routers and other accessories.

Watan Card: Rs.28.6 billion distributed to flood affected families
