Can someone confirm if U8800 can be unlocked? Ufone claims that it is software as well as hardware unlocked.

Any thing having a hardware lock is too difficult to unlock and if U8800 is entirely designed for Ufone you wont find unlocking easy. Motorola did the same in their handsets which were finally unlocked and functional almost 100% but the point is that there were many developers using Motorola made Android phones, which will not be the case with U8800.
